Alternate Base Name(s):Unknown
Island Name/Chain:Dutch New Guinea/New Guinea
Field Type:Airfield
Long/Lat2° 29' 32" S / 133° 5' 44" E
Occupying force:This was a Japanese airfield located approx. 25 mi. W of Babo airstrip. Bombed by USAAF presumably at same time as Babo. Heavy bomb craters remain today. I am posting this also partly to request information, as I do not have any other info on the Allied and/or Japanese name of the airstrip, or what Japanese forces were based there. I have made low overflights of the area, and hence am curious; Google Earth also reveals many features.
