(above) Overhead Google Earth view of abandoned Madhaiganj airfield. Despite removal of all concrete and building structures, the outlines of the main runway and taxiways to revetments are clearly seen--thanks to the surrounding protective forest.

(above) Google Earth/QuickBird satellite images taken Oct. 29, 2006 (left), and Nov. 11, 2003 (right), of abandoned air base site. Traces of both the NNW/SSE runway and NE/SW runway are clearly visible. Note the forested B-24 revetment cluster in upper part of photo. Although the concrete and revetments appear to have been removed, hardstand footprints and connecting taxiway traces are easily seen.
